Greetings!
Our team is truly having a once in a lifetime experience across the seas in Romania. They've had an amazing week! God has been with them mightily in everything they've laid their hands to and they've accomplished much - both in the natural as well as the spiritual.
Their week kicked off with work projects in a gypsy village. One neat experience was doing a complete home makeover for a family with 10 children; including installing windows, laying tile, and pouring cement as well as odds n ends around the home and deep cleaning. They spent many hours sorting, folding and boxing up clothes, then two of the teams [Gideon Knights and Sassy Wax] had the opportunity to deliver them to the gypsy villages. They also did a few programs and handed out presents and toys to kids. I know first hand that gifting kids and families in need, like this, with toys, clothes, projects etc is one of the most amazingly fulfilling forms of ministry... I'm sure these students loved every moment.
Then, on Good Friday - our team went to Prison! For ministry, of course. Around 50 inmates [teenage guys and girls] raised their hands to be saved. God is faithful and some deep seeds were planted. I can tell they were very encouraged.
Saturday evening they attended an Orthodox mass celebrating Easter. Sounds like it was quite the eye-opening experience and really sparked a passion and desire to go after the lost more than ever and make the most of the time left in Romania.
Sunday, being Easter, was of course a full day... they had a 4 hour church service in the morning and then went to another church in the evening for a 3 hour celebration.
This past week was quite full and a blessing for our students; working in the gypsy villages, doing performances, and even delivering medical supplies to a hospital one day. [ca] has much to look forward to in this upcoming week as well - please remember to keep them, as a team, and as individuals in your prayers...

Hello Friends!
Well, our team has completed their first full week on the ground in Romania. From what I hear they are having a great trip, getting lots accomplished and experiencing a very unique culture and type of ministry.

All four teams started out together in the capital city of Bucharest at 'Casa Shalom Children's Home' [http://misslink.org/casa/]. Upon arrival, the team immediately went to work, laying hands to several construction projects. Early on in the week, James' team left to work and do ministry at another village about five hours away. Before they left, though, James was able to lead a crew of the guys to dig out and frame a section of ground to pour an additional 15 feet of driveway.

Gideons Knights [James, Audra]
After leaving the other teams at Casa Shalom, the Gideon Knights went to Tucucci (pronounced 'too-cooch'), a city of about 100,000 people in central Romania, five hours from Bucharest. They have been working construction projects, putting up tile and drywall. A lot of their time has been spent helping at a Baptist missionary clinic as well as doing children's outreaches in the city. They are expected to return back to Bucharest early this week.

The remaining three teams have been diligently working at the Casa Shalom, cleaning and organizing clothes and furniture to set up for a large yard sale, which helps provide for the home. Along with cleaning, the team has been able to paint the wood fence along the front as well as replaced all the posts and repaired the fence along the long side of the property. A group of the guys also built a roof on one of the buildings, which will eventually be turned into a home for a family in need.

These 3 teams have had the opportunity to do a couple programs in downtown Bucharest, planting seeds in many people, as well as at a church Sunday morning, where they were able to do a program and connect with the congregation through prayer and encourage the local believers.

There are incredible things in store for Romania as well as Cadre. These students are leaving a mark on this nation, and for sure this ministry. As far as I've heard there are no major sickness amongst the students and everyone's hearts and attitudes are excellent. What a testimony to your prayers and dedication in standing behind this team in intercession.

An Ironman Triathlon is a long-distance triathlon race consisting of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike and a marathon [26 mile] run, raced in that order and without a break.

The amount of people in the world that can say they've completed an ironman distance triathlon is very small - this is an amazing accomplishment, even for an advanced athlete.

Come support the team as they tackle this challenge and greet this adventure with fervor and anticipation!
